David X Martin was the Chief Risk Officer of Alliance Bernstein and the Enterprise Risk Manager at Citicorp. Martin was also the Chief Investment Officer of a $200MM Fund of Hedge Funds, the CEO of Knightsbridge Capital Management, an incubator of hedge funds, a partner in DFD, a global distributor of hedge funds and was responsible for the oversight of hedge fund risk at Alliance Bernstein. He is also a published author, adjunct professor, media commentator and advisor to governments and chief executives on risk management issues. Martin is a special counselor to the Center for Financial Stability, serves on the advisory committee on International Economic Policy at the US State Department and was a senior advisory board member of Oliver Wyman, a leading risk management consulting firm.
