Rich is the founder of Silvermine Capital (http://www.silverminecapital.com), a firm that has managed technology investments dating back to the earliest days of the Internet. Since 2019, Silvermine has focused on digital assets, typically investing at the pre-seed and seed-stage, while also maintaining a liquid portfolio. Rich and his team often take an active operating role in support of their core investment ideas via their affiliated development company, Lucky Friday Labs (http://www.luckyfriday.io/), and blockchain infrastructure operation, GlobalStake (http://www.globalstake.io/). Mr. Shorten began his career as a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine and Moore, LLP and has served as a director on numerous public and private boards.
