Financial Analysts’ Society of Puerto Rico
Stephen Inglis is the Chief Executive Officer of AI Capital LLC, developer of Nexus Private Markets, and owner operator of Green Acres R&D Processors LLC, a farm services management company including the Cuerdas Verde Cacao Nurseries LLC division supplying 600,000 cacao trees annually to drive the burgeoning Puerto Rico cacao industry.
Building out the cacao industry is more than an investment banking project. After moving from New York in 2017 Stephen began farming at their first farm in Las Marias. Today he spends most mornings in the fields of Las Cuerdas Verde tending to the cacao forests.
Prior to the agricultural pursuit, Stephen draws on thirty‐five years’ capital markets experience in senior roles at Morgan Stanley, Robert Fleming‐JP Morgan, Head of Investment Banking for WestLB Pacific in Tokyo, and M&A in New York. As Founder and CEO of Enclave Capital, he led a team hosting more than thirty of the world’s leading investment banks from emerging and developed markets and deployed Deep Value algorithmic trading on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
Trained as a development economist, Stephen was a PhD candidate at Carleton University while working on a macro-model for Kenya with USAID and holds a master’s in economics from the University of British Columbia. In 1996 he became a CFA, and in 2022 completed the Academia del Cacao STEM program offered by the Science Trust of Puerto Rico.
