Since 2020, Sam has organized and led a Puerto Rico Energy Investment Community, discussing the diversity of energy opportunities in Puerto Rico and supporting a variety of stakeholders in advancing their specific energy investment goals. These initiatives focus on a wide array of technologies and position Puerto Rico at the forefront of energy-related investments. In 2024, this Community became the Puerto Rico Energy Forum.
Sam received his BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh and his Master’s in Public Policy jointly at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His research focused on energy-driven economic development in Puerto Rico. He remains deeply committed to the conclusions drawn in his thesis.
